Welcome to this late, late edition of monday musings! My apologies, it was a struggle to get today’s edition out of the gate. Please excuse any typos and grammatical errors that may have snuck their way in.
Thank you as always for reading!
I hope we've all stepped into the week with the intrepid spirit required for a Monday.
Despite mild temperatures this weekend and a much-needed evening out of the house for an impromptu paint night; I continue to battle with my annual winter fatigue paired with the ever-growing wtf energy to the general state of human affairs.
If you are not disturbed at least once daily, are you even doing this decade right?
Last week I cut and colored my hair on a whim. As silly as it may sound this minor change gave me a greater sense of control in this seemingly increasingly out-of-control world. It was nice to have the agency to effect immediate change, even something as inconsequential as my hair. It was a mild lift to my funk.
But it was a reminder that small changes/actions can have a ripple effect.
The new year has brought several new and interesting design projects on deck with a few more from last year nearing completion that I am excited to see realized. Being able to fall down creative rabbit holes is always a welcomed, albeit privileged, respite.
Honestly, I feel so lucky to be doing what I am doing.
Most of all, it is the people I have chosen to fill my life with that kept the winter doldrums and global insanity from robbing me of all semblance of peace. Those who commiserate with me, inspire me, brighten my perspective, or just make me laugh despite it all. And as cliche as it is, it is a testament to the power of love.
It’s how I am managing.
As we foray into the week of love, I have tasked myself and invite you all to expand on the notion of love. Be it self, familial, platonic, romantic, or communal love - feed all these lanes this week and into the next. It is the only way we are going to get out of this place. ♥️
In the meantime, this is what I have been up to.
WHAT I’VE SPOTTED FOR SPRING

This tempting runner for the entry of your little Eden from Make My Rugs on Etsy. Or this showstopper wrap coat for serving a bold and cozy look when there is still a chill in the air.
There is nothing the brand Mind the Gap could do in terms of design that I could ever imagine being mad at. Their whole seating catalog is killer. This Alpharetta sofa? Divine.

BIG NIGHT coming through with these little sweet Le Praline glasses, perfect for drinks OR dessert. Or treat yourself to some star-sign bling.
WHAT I AM READING
One of the most interesting articles I read last week was Everyone’s a sellout now.
A “coffee table” book, which I call a reference book, that I am dying to get my hands on: Big. Hot to Cold. An Odyssey of Architectural Adaptation
WHAT I AM LISTENING TO
WHAT I AM WATCHING
I am on episode 3 Griselda on Netflix. Still on the fence if I would recommend. I am not sure if I am on the fence or I am just not in the space for this particular storyline. Idk, but I will probably stick it out for Sofia Vergara. I’ll let you know.
WHAT I AM THINKING ABOUT
The Line a city-of-the-future currently under construction in Saudi Arabia and part of the larger undertaking called NEOM.
Or further-in-the-future city concept: The World's First Floating Skyscraper
WHAT I WANT TO SHARE
Last week I suggested brown noise the sleep sound de jour. Here is a handy guide to what color soundscape is best for you.
WHAT’S KEEPING ME SANE
Paint party nights. The messier the better.
INCOMING ENERGY OF THE WEEK
Onward and upward, my friends into the week. I hope it is one full of golden opportunities and an abundance of love. Until Wednesday…
