why subscribe to HAUS NOTES?
HAUS NOTES is for anyone who:
delights in design and is inspired to create expressive spaces that reflect how they want to live within (and outside) of those spaces
likes to fall down design rabbit holes
is looking for some eye-candy-level inspiration
wants to infuse more of themselves into their spaces
enjoys discovering new things
revels in randomness in (sometimes) liberal doses
what type of NOTES to expect:
monday musings - a smorgasbord of thoughts on design, life, and intentions going into the week.
midday reset - a list of inspirational and practical resources for your interiors and lifestyle - from TikToks to books - this weekly list will have something for everyone.
friday (I’m in love) - the top finds of the week for interior spaces to lust after or “commit” into your space.
NEUE FORM podcast - informal chats about the world of design, the individual, and society.
who runs the HAUS:
It’s me, Nicole. (seen below reclining during a pandemic-era project that helped me lean into my creative side.) I am the founder and creative director of NEUE HAUS studio creating simply expressive spaces that reflect the personalities and lifestyles of their inhabitants.
I believe that when one truly creates a space that expresses our innate sense of self and the unique ways we live within it, we thrive. With such supportive spaces, we are better equipped to be our best selves and more holistically speaking, better stewards of the global community.
For me, this always starts with an openness to explore. And this is what I hope this platform will be - an opportunity to engage in the beautiful things this world has to offer in terms of design, home, and ways of being. Hopefully, creating a dialogue that sparks creative ideas, innovation, and the spirit of “home” is a universal necessity.
A little superfluous information about me:
unapologetically in my 40s and have raised a fantastically exceptional human.
current location: stuck in Vermont (dreaming of warmer climes.)
would describe my design aesthetic to be expressive minimalism meets warm brutalism; I made both of these terms up, but it works for me!
hot take: the color blue is overhyped (it’s not that I won’t use it, just it is not my go-to.)
pisces sun/virgo rising (yes, I am going to talk about astrology, tarot, etc. I was into these practices long before their most recent resurgence, which I am wildly thankful for.)
am not a fan of whipped cream. It feels weird on the tongue.
